Adjustments to the Current Agricultural Use Value formula have been included in the Ohio House budget. The Ohio Farm Bureau says the adjustments will provide relief to farmers who have seen farmland taxes increase by more than 300 percent at a time when farm income has dropped significantly. The bill also ensures farmers will not be penalized for adopting conservation practices that protect water quality. It includes critical funding for Extension services, ag research and development, and Soil and Water Conservation Districts.
