Indiana producers were able to make some corn and soybean planting progress last week ahead of a strong storm system. Average rainfall last week for the state was almost an inch and a half above normal and more than half of Indiana’s topsoil has surplus moisture.
45% of corn is planted, compared to 15% a week ago and the five year average of 26%, and 10% has emerged. 16% of soybeans are planted, compared to 3% last week and 8% on average.
