The USDA reports combined old and new crop corn and soybean sales for the week ending April 20th were above most pre-report estimates, while soybean meal was within the anticipated range and bean oil and wheat fell short of expectations. Physical shipments of corn and soybeans were more than what’s needed to meet projections for the 2016/17 marketing year. The 2016/17 marketing year runs through May 31st for wheat, August 31st for corn and soybeans, and September 30th for soybean products.
