A four member team from the University of Minnesota placed first in a national dairy management competition.
The contest, part of the 16th annual Dairy Challenge in Visalia, California, included 34 universities and was based on farm analysis and appropriate solutions.
Minnesota animal science professor Marcia Endres coached the team and says the judges were impressed by her group’s practicality and presentation.
“They told a story that really was well put-together, very convincing, and with very good responses to all the judge’s questions.”
The Minnesota team was comprised of Johanna Knorr of Pelican Rapids, Andrew Krause of Buffalo, Fred Mansfield of Kerkhoven, and Lance Sexton of Millville.
