Ag land sales jump 40 percent

One of the nation’s largest sellers of farm real estate reports a nearly 40 percent jump in ag land sales.
Farmers National senior vice president Randy Dickhut says the company is encouraged by the increasing volume of transactions, up 38 percent on the year.
“In light of the slower land market. In a lot of areas there’s not much land on the market for sale. People are kind of watching this gradual slide in land values and the farm economy and seeing where it heads.
