Planting is underway for central Ohio farmer Allen Ett. “We started planting beans actually yesterday,” he says. “Last night we got started and then going today. We haven’t planted any corn yet – soils are just starting to dry out. It’s been a little slow.”
He tells Brownfield they’ll keep their 50/50 corn and soybean rotation – but that is not the case for several farmers in his area. “We do have a lot of guys in our area that have switched acres from corn to beans,” he says.
