Michigan fields showing improvement

Most fields in Michigan are still too wet to begin fieldwork.
The USDA says warming temperatures were good for wheat fields this past week. The crop condition improved two percent to 62 percent good to excellent. Windy conditions toward the end of last week made it possible for some farmers to plant sugarbeets on dry ground and haul manure.
Top soil moisture remains at 100 percent adequate to surplus and sub soil moisture is at 99 percent.
