Rainfall in Illinois was less than an inch allowing some field work. Topsoil moisture is 96 percent adequate to surplus. Corn is six percent planted, seven percentage points behind normal. About three percent of the winter wheat is headed and the crop is 74 percent good to excellent. More than half the oats planted and that crop is 75 percent good to excellent. Illinois pastures are 77 percent good to excellent.
