Corn planting is underway in Nebraska.
The weekly crop progress report says three percent of the crop was planted as of Sunday, equal to the five-year average for mid-April.
Winter wheat condition rated 53 percent good to excellent, 38 percent fair and nine percent poor to very poor. Seven percent was jointed, slightly behind average.
Cattle and calf conditions rated 85 percent good to excellent and calving progress was 82 percent complete.
