A popular shoe brand plans to bring footwear made from corn and organic cotton to the market later this year.
Reebok is launching its Cotton + Corn initiative, with its first product comprised of cotton on the upper shoe and a base originating from field corn.
Head of Reebok Future Bill McInnis says this is just the first step in using materials that grow and can be replenished, rather than the petroleum-based materials commonly used today.
