A poultry disease specialist has designed an online tool to help producers who are faced with avian influenza.
Dr. Carol Cardona with the University of Minnesota says the service helps producers navigate through the regulations following an outbreak.
“It helps them register for DUNS and SAM’s numbers for example. Those are the numbers you need to be indemnified. It helps them figure out what kind of space they’d need for certain kinds of disposal processes, it helps them to figure out what lab to take their samples to,” says Cardona.
