DTN is reporting a few scattered cattle sales in Texas at 126.00, and Iowa at 123.00. But those deals are below the current asking prices of 128.00 to 130.00 in the South and 205.00 to 210.00 in the North. The assumption can be made both sides would like to complete business prior to the long holiday weekend, but only time will tell. The market received no direction from the Fed Cattle Exchange Internet Auction in the morning where 5,245 cattle were listed and only 120 head sold at a weighted average price of 126.00, no cattle sold last week so there is no price comparison.
