Heavy precipitation across much of Michigan last week continues to keep farmers out of fields.
The USDA says some wheat fields are starting to show signs of moisture stress. The crop condition dropped a percentage point to 62 percent good to excellent.
Top soil moisture is 100 percent adequate to surplus, sub soil moisture is at 99 percent.
Michigan’s fruit crop development is right on schedule with recent cool weather.
