Two head of cattle have been confirmed killed by wolves in Wisconsin so far this year and more than 25 were killed last year. Wisconsin Natural Resources officials told farmers, sportsmen, and environmentalists at the recent “Wolf Summit II” one was in Douglas County near Superior and the other was near the Portage-Adams County line in central Wisconsin.
The DNR and State Senator Tom Tiffany say farmers have lost a lot more livestock to wolves since a federal judge put wolves back on the endangered species list two years ago.
