The USDA says there were nearly three suitable days, thanks to warmer and dryer weather.
Activities included fertilizer application, manure hauling, and tilling fields.
The Crop Progress report notes planting was limited to lighter soils.
Pasture condition ratings are mostly in the fair to good categories statewide, with respondents saying grass is greening up but still too short for grazing.
