A grain handling expert says this could be a good time to implement an interim storage expansion strategy.
GSI conditioning applications manager Gary Woodruff tells Brownfield large harvests in recent years and anticipated production this fall have many producers seeking more bin capacity.
“We’re seeing a lot of demand in the last month or so for people looking at their situation and realizing they don’t have enough storage. They’re looking at the amount of funding they have to go towards additional storage, as well as looking at the time frame they’re working with.”
Despite budget constraints, he says there are some cost-effective ways to quickly add grain storage.
