Soybeans were modestly lower on profit taking and technical selling. Forecasts have more rain mostly in parts of Argentina, but much of Brazil looks good, and the trade expects record production. Private reports out of South America have Brazil’s harvest more than 70% complete with Argentina at 5.9%. Export sales have slowed because of that South American production, but remain ahead of the USDA’s projection for the marketing year. Soybean meal and oil followed beans lower.
