Nebraska Farm Bureau National Affairs Director Jordan Dux says a reopening of China to U.S. beef would be especially good for the state’s cattlemen.
“We definitely would like to be a part of that,” Dux told Brownfield Ag News Thursday. “Nebraska itself ships an awful lot of beef to Hong Kong already, and from our standpoint, it would be an awfully large market for us, and given the size of Nebraska’s beef industry, being the top in the nation, we certainly would be very supportive of reopening trade if we can.”
Farm groups have urged President Trump to raise the issue of China access for U.S.
