A bipartisan group of Senators is urging President Trump to prioritize US beef access to China in his meeting with the Chinese President today.
In a letter to the President, the group says the Chinese market imports more than 2.5-billion-dollars of beef products and regaining access to that market would create substantial opportunities for beef producers across the country.
China has recently become one of the fastest growing beef markets in the world and US beef producers have not had access to the market since the BSE scare in 2003.
