A southwest Minnesota farmer says fieldwork continues to be limited by wet and cool conditions.
Nobles County corn and soybean grower Matt Widboom tells Brownfield so far, there have only been pockets of activity in his corner of the state.
“If you go a bit farther north and west (of Worthington) towards Lake Benton, there was some fieldwork done there late last week. But we’ve really had soggy conditions here, with rainfall and snow through the end of March.”
He says soil temps remain in the low 40’s, although warmer and drier weather is in the forecast.
