An official with the National Cattlemens Beef Association (NCBA) says the guiding principles of new EPA administrator Scott Pruitt provide assurances that cattle producers will be treated fairly by the agency.
NCBA environmental counsel Scott Yager tells Brownfield the beef industry needs an EPA leader who follows the rule of law.
“That means respecting the role of Congress, and legislating and creating law. As opposed to what we’ve seen the past eight years, which was legislation by regulation.”
He accuses the Environmental Protection Agency of running wild under the Obama Administration by proposing rules and regulations while ignoring the role of Congress.
