The CEO of Monsanto says the company delivered an excellent first half of fiscal year 2017 in the face of a continued tough farm economy.
In a news release, Hugh Grant described an increasingly optimistic outlook for the global agrochemical and ag biotechnology giant, saying the focus remains bringing innovation to growers.
Monsanto reported earnings per share of $3.16 in the first six months of fiscal 2017, compared to $1.80 per share a year earlier.
