Western Missouri farmer Neal Bredehoeft won’t be planting until the sun comes out to make his fields dry enough to work them, but following four inches of rain in the last ten days, he’s not complaining.
“We needed the rain to replenish the soil a little bit, and I wouldn’t say we’re getting behind schedule,” Bredehoeft told Brownfield Ag News Wednesday. “I think when we get in the field here in a while it’ll be time to plant corn then.”
