A southwest Minnesota farm family started fieldwork this week.
Carolyn Olson says she began prepping fields for planting Tuesday.
“My husband Jonathan is actually seeding wheat right now while I’ve taken over in the digger tractor. I’m running a John Deere 8770 4WD with a 35 foot field cultivator on the back. I can cover a lot of ground in a hurry.”
Speaking to Brownfield Wednesday afternoon, Olson described soil conditions in Cottonwood and Lyon counties as nice and mellow.
