The USDA will start conducting its Ag Labor Survey later this month.
Wisconsin State Statistician Greg Bussler says, “We do it twice a year and we interview about 300 Wisconsin farmers and find out what wages they’re paying their workers.”
Bussler says they collect the information two ways. “You can mail the questionnaire back to us or complete it online, and if we haven’t heard from the individual by a certain date, we call individuals to collect the data over the phone.”
Bussler says the survey will ask farm employers about the weeks of January 8th and April 9th.
