Strong demand keeps pork moving through the system

Hog prices aren’t great, but they’re better than many people expected them be right now.
Analysts say strong pork demand is the reason why. Livestock analyst Dennis Smith, a broker with Chicago-based Archer Financial Services, says the demand for U.S. pork has never been better. If it continues, Smith says, spring and summer hog prices could be better than expected.
