The Michigan Department of Agriculture is combining the Sanilac and St. Clair Conservation Districts.
Joe Kelpinski with the department tells Brownfield the move will improve the district’s ability to serve farmers and rural residents. “I think this is an opportunity to fill a void that existed. We have a lot of really strong conservation districts around the state that will remain independent and simply single county entities.”
