Storm systems will continue to parade across the nation, maintaining mild conditions and providing heavy showers and locally severe thunderstorms; breezy weather; and (in the West) high-elevation snow. Five-day rainfall totals could reach 2 to 4 inches across the central and southern Plains, and 1 to 3 inches from the Gulf Coast northward into the central and eastern Corn Belt and the Mid-Atlantic States. Across the western U.S., precipitation could total 1 to 3 inches from the Pacific Northwest to the northern and central Rockies.
