The president of the National Farmers Union (NFU) says Brazil’s meat scandal is another reason to have country-of-origin labeling (COOL) on meat products.
Roger Johnson says if COOL was in place, consumers would instantly know whether they were buying Brazilian beef.
“They would know that immediately, and going down the aisles of the grocery store would say, ‘Hey, you know what, I’m going to make a choice. I’m not going to buy this potentially dangerous stuff from Brazil.
