Average farmland values in Nebraska had a ten percent decline over the past year, according to preliminary findings from the University of Nebraska’s 2017 farm real estate survey.

The decline marks the third consecutive year of downward pressure on farmland values, which peaked in 2014.

The southeast district saw the largest decline of 15 percent averaged across all land classes. The smallest average decline was in north-central Nebraska, down five percent.
