According to the latest QS World University Rankings, the US is home to 12 of the top 25 agriculture universities in the world.
There are six US-based universities in the top 10: the University of California-Davis is second, Cornell University is third, the University of Wisconsin-Madison is sixth, Michigan State University is seventh, and Purdue University is ranked eighth.
Other Brownfield states with universities in the top 25 are: Iowa State University (11th) and the University of Illinois (14th).
