Three FFA members have been named stars over Michigan for their Supervised Agricultural Experiences.
Jake Bushey from the Laker FFA Chapter was awarded the Star in Agricultural Placement for his work at his family’s 3,000 acre cash crop farm and drain tile business in Caseville. “I’d say that I’m very diversified on what I can do on the farm. I’m able to run the combine when my uncle or my brother are not there and do a lot of the different management tasks working on the tiling business crew.” Bushey tells Brownfield he plans to attend Michigan State University for a Crop and Soil Science degree and return to the family farm as the fifth generation.
