American Sugarbeet Growers Association President Galen Lee says their biotech spokeswomen are speaking with consumers about how technology helps farmers produce sugarbeets. He says farmers are getting the same price as they did 30 years ago, but input prices are not. Lee says technology has allowed farmers to grow sugarbeets with less inputs and labor while being more environmentally friendly.
