One of the most closely watched numbers in Thursday’s supply and demand report from USDA will be the estimate of the Brazilian soybean crop.
The average trade guess is 106 million metric tons. But analyst Rich Nelson of Allendale says some recent estimates are quite a bit higher.
“You’ve got numbers from AgRural and FCStone the last couple days now talking 107 to 109 for potential Brazilian crop size,” Nelson says.
