Will soybeans win the acreage battle this spring?
Many grain market analysts, including Ed Usset of the University of Minnesota, think they will.
“I think that’s what every expert is looking for—and why not,” Usset says. “The price of soybeans is, on a relative basis, very favorable versus corn and versus wheat. And you can make money on soybeans.”
But Kurt Hora, who farms near Washington in southeast Iowa, tells Brownfield he’s sticking with his regular rotation.
