The president of the Minnesota Farmers Union says he’s concerned with the way President Trump is handling trade.
Gary Wertish tells Brownfield uncertainty is building as the new administration considers doing away with established deals like the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
“We have to be somewhat concerned. Are we just throwing everything out here? We obviously want trade agreements that work, but the uncertainty in the markets is a concern.”
He says farmers could be left dealing with the consequences of Trump’s trade rhetoric.
