The feedlot cattle trade was at a standstill on Tuesday with neither bids nor asking prices well defined. Needless to say market psychology is torn between recent bullish cash news and the stubborn discount of live cattle futures. Cattle buyers have largely ignored the bearish board for the last two to four weeks. Will tight supplies keep encouraging them to do so? The kill was estimated at 115,000 head, the same as last week, but 5,000 more than last year.
