The state veterinarian in Tennessee confirms that high pathogenic avian flu was found in a commercial chicken breeder flock in the south central part of that state.
A commercial chicken facility in Lincoln County, Tennessee alerted the state vet Friday of an increase in chicken deaths. Testing confirmed the presence of H7 high path avian flu.
The facility’s under quarantine, along with about 30 other poultry farms within 6 miles of the site.
