The Chairman of the House Ag Committee says there are three main issues to deal with in the 2018 Farm Bill…
“Cotton and the dairy program and the ARC County issues are three that we’ll have to address.”
Texas Congressman Mike Conaway says the Stacked Income Protection Plan (STAX) doesn’t work for cotton crop insurance. “STAX won’t work, and I’ve got to get cotton back into Title I, so that’s already one change we’ll have to make.”
He says the dairy industry is in the process of drafting recommendations to improve the dairy Margin Protection Program for all farmers.
