A light cattle trade is being reported by DTN in parts of Iowa and Nebraska on Thursday at mostly $200.00, 4.00 higher than last week’s weighted average basis Nebraska. Packer inquiry is expected to continue to improve over the next several hours. A light to moderate trade developed in the South yesterday at mostly 125.00 live, steady to 1.00 higher than last week’s business. While it looks like business in Kansas and Texas is essentially done for the week the North will need to trade more cattle.
