The United Nations projects wheat output worldwide will fall for the first time in five years.
The UN Food and Agriculture Organization forecasts global wheat production for 2017-18 at more than 820 tons, a drop of more than 14 tons. It would be the first decline since 2012-13.
A USDA forecast last week projected US wheat sowings falling to their lowest levels in more than a century and winter abandonment could increase this year.
