U.S. ethanol production last week held at an average of 1.034 million barrels a day.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration says that is now 18 weeks in a row with an average of more than a million barrels.
Margins have narrowed because of firm to higher corn prices, export demand from China has evaporated as Beijing focuses on domestic production, and there’s a lot of uncertainty about governmental policy towards renewable fuels right now, but the industry does expect solid domestic demand.
