A light cattle trade was reported in parts of the South on Wednesday afternoon at 125.00, about steady with last week. Some selling interest seemed to surface once nearby live futures began to soften. Yet many showlists continue to be priced higher, around 128.00 in the South, and 200.00 in the North. The Fed Cattle Exchange Auction had 4,813 head listed, with 2,855 head actually sold. The weighted average price was 124.99, up from last week’s average of 122.10.
