U.S. soybean growers are looking at ways to make bean meal better. A South Dakota United Soybean board director says investing checkoff funds into quality improvement is something worth supporting. Lewis Baindridge is a South Dakota board director, “Particularly in the area where we farm in South Dakota, we’re accused of having a lower protein soybean meal so we’re working on enhancing that. Not only genetically, but looking at other programs to not only validate that but help us increase the energy of the soybean meal.”
