Lt. Governor Tina Smith has announced a new bipartisan effort that builds upon decade-old legislation to move Minnesota towards 50 percent renewable energy by the year 2030.
Smith says the Next Generation Energy Act established ten years ago proved that Minnesotans can have affordable, reliable, and clean energy.
Now with support from democrats and republicans, a bill intended to further drive down the cost of renewable energy and generate thousands of jobs has been introduced in the Minnesota Legislature.
