A southwest Minnesota crop farmer is confident he’s locking in break-even or better prices for 2017.
Chris Hill of Brewster says a relatively strong corn and soybean market has afforded him opportunities to forward contract some of his grain.
“I got done with my break-evens and got my budget put in line, (then) looked at the prices and saw that there was profit in raising corn and soybeans. So I decided to sell some at this point.
