Indiana’s state legislature has recognized this week as Indiana Agricultural Literacy Week. Members of the Indiana Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee were at the statehouse on Tuesday where a resolution was read marking the event.
Isabella Chism, INFB’s second vice president and Women’s Leadership Committee chair says the resolution supports the organization’s efforts to improve awareness of agriculture around the state.
The resolution highlights the economic benefit agriculture brings to Indiana; the importance of educating the next generation of producers and consumers; and how understanding of agriculture increases informed food choices.
