An Ohio veterinarian says livestock producers are adapting well to the new veterinary feed directive – but there are some adjustments that need to be made.
Dr. Michelle Michalak is a large animal vet in West Central Ohio.
“We’re out in the field and having to educate people a little bit on the fact that we do need to have a valid client, patient relationship with them. That means we normally have to make a farm visit, and have knowledge about the farm before we can write that VFD” says Michalak.
