Former NRCS chief hired by Land O’Lakes

A former chief of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) has been hired as senior sustainability director by Land O’Lakes.
The Minnesota-based cooperative announced Jason Weller will join the SUSTAIN unit in a leadership role after overseeing an NRCS staff of more than 10,500 employees.
Weller will help develop a conservation portfolio of tools for member-owners as part of SUSTAIN, which was created in the second half of 2016.
