Pea project for elementary students

The American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture is encouraging elementary students to raise peas this spring.
The First Peas to the Table Contest was created to help students understand more about healthy foods and the importance of agriculture.
Starting with just 20 seeds, students from kindergarten through fifth grade have from February 20 to May 15 to plant, raise and harvest the most peas.
The grand prize winner will receive a visit from Miss America.
